Valentino Spring-Summer 2021 Fashion show in Milan

And today, I want to present you the spring-summer 2021 collection from the Valentino fashion House.

The show was a bright final event of the Milan Fashion Week. The brand's creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli held a presentation for the first time in his native Italy, replacing the expanses of glamorous Paris with emotional and passionate Milan.

The designer explained his decision as a sincere support for the Italian fashion system, as well as an unwillingness to put the company's employees at risk of air travel.

Instead of the majestic hotel, the industrial premises of the former foundry were chosen as the venue for the fashion show.

The vast industrial area, walls, concrete columns were decorated with luxurious green compositions of field plants. All the guests of the show received bouquets of flowers instead of the usual invitations.

As the designer noted: “Usually flowers serve as an ornament, a decoration, but at this show they have become a sign of strength, a symbol of the rebirth of the brand.”

Yes, such a formulation may seem a little pompous and arrogant. However, the couturier really not only changed the usual location for a fashion show, but also set a new vector in the development of the brand.
