Michael Kors Spring-summer 2021 fashion show in New York

Let's take a look together at the charming spring-summer 2021 collection from the fashion house Michael Kors, which was shown in a virtual format at New York Fashion Week.

The designer admitted that until recently he had hoped to hold a fashion show in real time.

But the new rules dictate their own conditions, and for the first time in almost 40 years of working in the haute couture industry, Michael Kors organized an online presentation, one of the parts of which was the screening of a movie clip shot in the New York Garden in the Bronx, where the future designer spent a lot of time as a child.

As the couturier himself noted: "I wanted to look at nature and rebirth through the prism of the city."

Therefore, both the lookbook and the mini-film in support of the collection were shot in the garden — in a green oasis in the middle of a stone jungle.

This season, Michael Kors decided to revise the traditional schedule for the release of new collections and show them only twice a year, and not four, as it was previously. According to the designer: "This year we had to slow down the pace, and I think that everyone began to appreciate simple things in a new way: a suddenly blooming flower, a beautiful sunset, walking along the river.

These were the things that bring us hope."
