Etro spring-summer 2020 in Milan. Spirit of freedom, boho style

The show of the new spring-summer 2020 collection from the Etro fashion house was held as part of Milan Fashion Week. On a warm September day, when the world was not yet divided into before and after, and a motley eminent audience filled the courtyard of the Milan Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory to capacity, the brave and passionate woman Etro begins her journey full of adventures, walking easily and confidently along the fashionable scene.

The spirit of freedom, the desire for new, unexplored heights, the thirst for bright emotions and exciting impressions - such an unforgettable atmosphere reigned during the fashion show, where the general mood was successfully supported by huge balloons placed in different parts of the site, which were trying to rush into the endless sky.

In the new collection, Veronica Etro made the main bet on the boho style, confidently combining it with bourgeois sophistication. The two essentially different concepts constituted an interesting contrasting union. The lightness and relaxation of the silhouettes with a share of a certain intrigue at some point took the viewer away from reality, plunging him into dreams of traveling to distant countries.

Long dresses with flounces, trouser suits, capes, short shorts, vests, shirts or airy blouses - each outfit has a special colorful character. There are fashionable looks and the safari style already familiar to us, and a casual business suit, and several charming evening ensembles.

Huge worn-effect straw hats, silk bandanas, wide belts with a metal crescent buckle, leather boots with cuffs that look like pirate boots or lace-up sandals, necklaces made of many coins, metal earrings, baubles - all these are like attributes of a permanent wanderer or souvenirs collected on an endless magical journey around the world.

A special place in the new collection is given to bright ornaments, prints and characteristic patterns, one of which has long become the hallmark of the brand.

The signature pattern "paisley", or "Turkish cucumber", appeared on clothes under the Etro brand in the early 80s of the last century after the trip of the head of the company and the founder of the fashion house to India.
